I’m sure the producers also had no small part in them addressing it for the camera. So, yes, they might not have been exclusive but were inching toward each other in a way that would not preclude Lindsay from hooking up with a dude she had already hooked up with. But they had to talk about it because they were nine months away from their best friends being back in their lives. In case it wasn’t clear, those best friends are the cameras.

Fittingly, these angry potential relatives are all women; if this was the experience Dom wanted he could have just stayed home with Abby. The failed expedition is particularly tough on Bert, who fantasized about a grand homecoming. The usually jovial patriarch, cheery even when falling down stairs, is demoralized by the trip not going how he imagined. But the second Quentin mentions the party he’s throwing in her honor, Tanya crumples back into his clutches, as if that’s enough to make her forget the whole thing. Few shows welcome rabid theorizing more than The White Lotus does, between its promise of impending death and every episode’s ominous ambiguity. If you’ve been on the internet at any point over the last five weeks you’ve probably seen a lot of those theories, because everybody’s watching this show with a suspicious eye.

Pat also refuses the offer of a leadership position in the Women’s Institute, again on account of Bob. With Frances devastated by Peter’s death, someone else must temporarily take over as president. She has returned to Great Paxford, taking lodging by herself in a “poky little” place on the outskirts of the town – it seems she is having marital difficulties.
Though a fight took place that Carver started with other people, the plan worked. He later told the trio that he would meet them at Molly’s the next day. Van Meter noted that Wendy Seager was out of town and couldn’t help investigate the arson, leading to Kidd stepping up to help Severide with a side investigation.
Bob will soon move home as an invalid, ensuring Pat’s affair will be much more difficult to carry on. She leaves a note for Teresa, and then closes all the house’s windows and turns up the stove’s gas to suffocate and poison herself. Mercifully, Teresa arrives home just in time and gets her out of the house. As Alison recovers, Teresa assures her that she will help her find a way out of the predicament.
